    Debian 13 Trixie: Date Ufficiali del Rilascio della Nuova Versione Stabile

    Il team di sviluppo Debian ha annunciato le date chiave per il rilascio della prossima versione stabile della storica distribuzione GNU/Linux: Debian 13 Trixie.

    Il messaggio ufficiale è stato pubblicato sabato 19 luglio 2025 sulla mailing list del progetto, confermando che il sistema entrerà in Full Freeze il 27 luglio, mentre il rilascio stabile è previsto per il 9 agosto 2025, salvo eventuali ritardi dell’ultima ora.

    Congelamento progressivo: verso la stabilità

    Il processo di rilascio segue la consueta roadmap Debian, con una serie di congelamenti graduali:

    • Transition Freeze
    • Soft Freeze
    • Hard Freeze
    • Full Freeze (quello finale)

    Durante la fase di Full Freeze, nessun pacchetto può migrare automaticamente nella versione di testing, salvo via autorizzazioni esplicite. Si accettano solo correzioni critiche e interventi di stabilizzazione, in preparazione alla versione ufficiale.

    Cosa aspettarsi da “Trixie”

    La nuova versione porterà novità importanti, tra cui:

    • Supporto ufficiale per architettura RISC-V
    • Aggiornamenti ai principali ambienti desktop (GNOME, KDE, XFCE, ecc.)
    • Miglioramenti in ambito sicurezza e gestione pacchetti software
    • Oltre 11.000 nuovi pacchetti rispetto alla versione precedente (Debian 12 “Bookworm”)

    La comunità Debian si sta preparando con eventi, discussioni e “release party” in varie parti del mondo, segno dell’importanza storica e tecnica che ogni nuova versione rappresenta.

    Conclusione

    Debian 13 Trixie è ormai alle porte e promette stabilità, innovazione e grande compatibilità con il mondo hardware moderno. Un passaggio importante per utenti, sysadmin e sviluppatori che scelgono Debian per la sua affidabilità e libertà.
