    Oggi, 1° maggio 2025, celebriamo la Festa dei Lavoratori, un’occasione perfetta per riflettere sull’importanza del lavoro e della condivisione delle conoscenze anche nel mondo del software libero e di GNU/Linux. Nel panorama dell’informatica, GNU/Linux rappresenta un modello di collaborazione aperta e partecipativa, dove migliaia di sviluppatori e utenti in tutto il mondo contribuiscono quotidianamente a costruire sistemi operativi sicuri, stabili e personalizzabili.

    Questa filosofia di condivisione e lavoro collettivo si riflette nelle numerose iniziative, corsi e incontri organizzati in tutta Italia per diffondere la cultura del software libero. Ad esempio, eventi come “Corso di GNU Linux e Libre Office” alla Biblioteca di Scandicci, dedicati a chi vuole avvicinarsi per la prima volta a GNU/Linux.

    La Festa dei Lavoratori è quindi anche un momento per celebrare la comunità globale di sviluppatori, tecnici e appassionati che, con il loro impegno volontario, mantengono vivo e in continua evoluzione l’ecosistema GNU/Linux, promuovendo un’informatica libera, accessibile e democratica. In un’epoca in cui la tecnologia è sempre più centrale nella vita quotidiana e nel lavoro, scegliere GNU/Linux significa abbracciare un modello di innovazione partecipata e sostenibile, che valorizza il contributo di tutti.
