- Make sure Orphan mailbox is not listed under additional account.
- Also, make sure the same mailbox is not listed under Outlook > File > Account Settings > More Settings > Advanced.
- If the shared mailbox is listed in 3 and 4, its being mapped by autodiscover.
- Outlook caches autodiscover XML files in the location: %userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook, it could be still using one of these old auto XML files.
- Create a new fresh Outlook profile.
- If the mailbox is still listed, it could be due to an old XML blue print of what it needed to map and mapped it. Force Outlook to stop using with the key listed below
