Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM Hands-On Workshop: A Full-Day Adventure

    July 31, 2025

On July 17, Perficient was proud to co-host an engaging and insightful Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM Hands-On Workshop alongside our colleagues at Oracle. Held at Perficient global headquarters in St. Louis, this in-person event brought together finance and technology professionals from across the region for a day of immersive learning, collaboration, and networking.

Whether attendees were just beginning their Oracle journey or looking to deepen their expertise, the workshop delivered valuable takeaways through guided, hands-on labs led by seasoned Oracle experts.

A Full Day of Learning and Exploration

It was nearly standing room only when Josh Kamenecka, SVP Solution Engineering at Oracle, made his grand entrance and laid the foundation for what was to be a learning experience like no other. Let’s just say that Oracle does it right, from providing preconfigured laptops for the workshop attendees and engaging cloud adventure guides to well thought out hands-on labs with a dose of humor. And did I mention group-led stretching to get your blood flowing and keep everyone engaged? They literally thought of everything!

    Oracle Cloud ERP

The morning session focused on Oracle Cloud ERP, where participants explored key capabilities such as Procure to Pay, Capital Projects, General Accounting, Risk Management, and Financial Reporting Center.

“The workshop was perfectly delivered for a customer that is evaluating a migration to Oracle Cloud ERP.  With it being hands-on, the attendees enjoyed the modern user experience and learned a lot about the AI capabilities that are built into the platform and the new AI Studio to extend AI capabilities”, said Stuart Massey, Oracle ERP Principal at Perficient.

    Oracle Cloud EPM

After a networking lunch, the afternoon shifted to Oracle Cloud EPM, where attendees experienced the power of embedded AI and participated in hands-on labs covering Oracle Cloud EPM and what’s new in embedded AI, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Planning, Close, Consolidation, Account Reconciliation, and Reporting.

Participants saw how Oracle Cloud EPM can break down silos, enhance accuracy, and accelerate insights. This wasn’t just a workshop—it was a front-row seat to what’s possible when intelligent automation meets strategic planning.

“The event was well received from participants with several commenting that it was great to get hands-on keyboards and both business and IT folks in the same session.” said Charles Ramirez, Oracle EPM Director at Perficient.

    That’s a Wrap

Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to test drive Oracle Cloud applications in a supportive, interactive environment. The format allowed for real-time questions, peer discussions, and practical application of concepts—making the learning experience both impactful and memorable.

The workshop wrapped up with a lively happy hour, giving attendees a chance to unwind, share insights, and build connections with peers and experts alike. The energy in the room reflected a shared enthusiasm for innovation and transformation in finance and enterprise performance management.

From Hands-On to Forward-Thinking: What’s Next After a Day of Discovery?

A whopping 94% of workshop registrants attended the St. Louis event. By all accounts, the event was a huge success. According to our post-event survey, 86% of workshop participants were very satisfied with the event and across the board cited the hands-on experience as the most valuable part of the session.

We’re thrilled with the positive feedback from this event and can’t thank Oracle enough for co-hosting this event with us and delivering an A+ event! These sessions are a testament to the value of in-person learning and the power of partnership between Perficient and Oracle.

When asked what the biggest challenges are facing organizations, there was a common theme – rapid changes and not realizing the full potential of Oracle Cloud. If you find yourself in that position, I encourage you to attend a workshop in your area.

If you missed this event but are interested in future workshops, stay tuned—we’re just getting started. If a tailored workshop is a better fit for your organization, let’s have a conversation. Our team of Oracle experts is ready to listen and open to crafting something that works for you.
