Jill Boisvert Fosters Continuous Learning in Perficient’s Salesforce Practice

From Operations to Project Management: How Jill Boisvert Drives Success in Perficient’s Salesforce BU

Perficient promotes meaningful growth by challenging, championing, and celebrating every colleague. We recently connected with Jill Boisvert, project manager, whose passion for knowledge sharing has ignited genuine connections within Perficient’s Salesforce Business Unit (BU). Continue reading to discover how her extensive background in business operations and commitment to relationship building paved the way for her advancement into project management.

What is your role? Describe a typical day in the life. Jill Boisvert Headshot

I am currently a project manager in our Salesforce BU. Prior to going to the consulting side, I worked in business operations, which is where I started with Perficient. Much of the work outside of my day-to-day client work involves completing frameworks and ensuring financials are on track for the project life. I’m typically on two projects part-time, and I do a lot of staff augmentation project PM work for multiple clients that involves managing project backlogs. In addition to Perficient client work that I’m a project manager on, I work with our Salesforce subcontractors and vendor coordinators to coordinate efforts on anywhere from five to 20 projects at any time.

What are your proudest accomplishments, personally and professionally? Any milestone moments at Perficient?

I was in business operations for nine years, and I really enjoyed learning about the systems. My key milestone was learning how the different systems work, which has really helped me move into a project manager role. When Perficient transitioned to Oracle Cloud, my background and knowledge helped me understand how to use these new tools. It makes me happy that I have that knowledge and can support my coworkers who don’t have that operations background. The relationships I have built at Perficient throughout my years have been my greatest accomplishment because these connections have carried over year to year. Even if I don’t talk to someone all the time, they’re just a message away.

With Perficient’s mission statement in mind, why do we obsess over client outcomes?

We’re in consulting because we’re here to help our clients. If we don’t have successful outcomes or give our clients value, then they’ll likely be unhappy and won’t sign that change request. It’s the same thing with personal relationships. If there’s no value in any relationship, then what’s the point? That’s why it’s so important to keep our clients happy.

The people in the Salesforce BU love learning. Our Microsoft Teams channel is always pinging with colleagues sharing their knowledge and ways to grow and improve. It’s really beneficial for clients to work with consultants who have such a thirst for knowledge because it benefits the customer, which benefits our business and Perficient overall.

    Why did you choose Perficient?

The people. The people who I connect with each day make this fun, make me happy, and keep me here. It’s the people that make Perficient. I also have an amazing manager, and I love our BU, which is very female-driven. We have a female managing director, and a lot of the directors are women. I’ve always felt strongly about women supporting women, and I love that our BU is a place where female leadership and collaboration truly shine.

How have you grown your career at Perficient?

I started out as a business coordinator supporting our Salesforce BU for nine years. Then, I had the opportunity to help bring on the Salesforce leadership during an acquisition in 2019. I then became interested in wanting to learn more about being a project manager. The leadership team knew I had a good understanding of the business, along with the operations background, and I was able to learn from them about consulting and building client relationships. It was neat to be able to take the track into project management. I started as a business consultant with the BU, grew into a lead business consultant, and am now officially a project manager.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I am married with three kids and a dog, and I work from home. I’m passionate about keeping my family happy, just as much as I like being in a work environment where everyone is in a good mood.

I’m also passionate about enjoying the summertime and the warm weather. I’m from the Jersey Shore, and we live super close to the water. In our backyard, we have a pool, tiki bar, and firepit. We love having people over, and I enjoy going out on our friends’ boats and kayaking with my husband.

In 2024, we went to the Florida Keys twice. We took the kids and my parents in February, and my husband and I went again in November. We visited a turtle rescue, went jet skiing, and enjoyed boat charters. We just love the island and beach life, especially with the palm trees and blue water.
