    The Noisy Surprise

In a cozy little cottage, lived a man named Mani. He loved peace and quiet more than anything. He found great joy in reading books and sipping his tea in silence.

But in that same house lived a little mouse named Chittu. He was very mischievous. His main job seemed to be disturbing Mani’s peace.

One day, Chittu snatched a vada that Mani had placed on a plate and scampered away. “Oh dear! I can’t bear this mouse’s mischief!” Mani sighed in frustration.

Suddenly, with a loud “Woof woof!”, a dog named Raja ran into the house. As soon as he saw Chittu the mouse, he started to chase him.

With Chittu running in front and Raja chasing behind, the whole house was in an uproar. They ran around and around the table and chairs.

“Oh no! My beautiful house!” Mani cried, holding his head in his hands. In their haste, a flower vase fell and shattered on the floor.

Mani grabbed a blanket and tried to catch them. But they were both too fast. Mani stumbled and fell down.

Finally, Raja chased Chittu behind a large pot and cornered him. “Now I must catch them both,” Mani thought, creeping slowly closer.

But Raja didn’t bark. He gently licked Chittu’s head! Chittu squeaked “Squeak squeak” happily and nuzzled Raja’s nose. They weren’t fighting; they were best friends!

Mani couldn’t believe his eyes. Then, he laughed out loud. His quiet house was now filled with happy sounds.

He hadn’t lost his peace; he had found a new family.
