YouTube Tests AI Feature That Will Completely Change How You Search for Videos

    April 25, 2025

YouTube is testing a cool new AI-powered feature that could shake up how you discover content.

Instead of just showing regular search results, YouTube is experimenting with a video carousel that appears after specific search queries.

This carousel will display relevant video clips that match the context of your search, offering a more interactive and dynamic way to find videos.

    What’s new

YouTube’s AI will show you video snippets that are most likely to be helpful based on what you search for. For example, if you search for “best noise-canceling headphones,” the AI carousel might display quick clips from videos about headphone reviews.

This feature is currently being tested with a small group of YouTube Premium users in the U.S. and is mainly focused on product and location-based searches, like shopping or finding things to do in specific cities.

    Why this AI test matters

Though it may not sound like a massive change, this feature could make content discovery a lot more fun and efficient. Instead of scrolling through endless titles, you’ll get direct access to relevant video snippets. It’s part of YouTube’s effort to keep up with Google’s AI-powered search tools and improve user engagement.

As AI continues to evolve, YouTube’s new feature might be just the beginning of smarter, more intuitive ways to search for content. Stay tuned!
