    Linux Mint 22.2 si chiamerà “Zara”, LMDE 7 “Gigi”

    Nuovo mese, nuovo post di Clement Lefebvre sulle novità in arrivo su Linux Mint.

    Nomi in codice

    Si parte dai nomi in codice delle prossime versioni di Linux Mint e Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE):

    • Linux Mint 22.2 si chiamerà “Zara”
    • LMDE 7 si chiamerà “Gigi”

    Un pizzico di blu in Mint-Y

    Il team di Linux Mint ha deciso di rinnovare il tema di default della distribuzione aggiungendo un po’ di blu al tema Mint-Y. Con questa modifica il grigio apparirà leggermente più metallico e moderno. Così facendo il tema si allineerà ai colori di libAdwaita.

    Colori di accento

    È stata apportata una piccola modifica a XDG Desktop Portal XApp per supportare i colori di accento nelle applicazioni Flatpak basate su libAdwaita in base al tema GTK scelto.

    Funziona con Cinnamon, MATE e Xfce. Tutto ciò che serve è che il tema definisca il suo “accent_color”.

    Al fine di garantire una migliore integrazione delle applicazioni GNOME che utilizzano libAdwaita gli sviluppatori di Linux Mint, oltre ad uniformare il colore del tema Mint-Y ai colori di libAdwaita, hanno deciso di aggiungere i fogli di stile di libAdwaita in Mint-X e Mint-Y e apportato alcune modifiche a libAdwaita per evitare di utilizzare il proprio foglio di stile.

    Nella GIF qui sopra potete vedere gnome-calendar, gnome-characters e foliate, tutte applicazioni di libAdwaita, che si integrano davvero bene con Cinnamon e Linux Mint.

    Applicando queste patch a libAdwaita probabilmente gli sviluppatori non avranno più bisogno di continuare a effettuare il downgrade delle applicazioni GNOME.

    Description : BSON::XS versions 0.8.4 and earlier for Perl includes a bundled libbson 1.1.7, which has several vulnerabilities.

    Those include CVE-2017-14227, CVE-2018-16790, CVE-2023-0437, CVE-2024-6381, CVE-2024-6383, and CVE-2025-0755.

    BSON-XS was the official Perl XS implementation of MongoDB’s BSON serialization, but this distribution has reached its end of life as of August 13, 2020 and is no longer supported.
