At Perficient, we are driven by our vision to be the place where great minds and great companies converge to boldly advance business. We are on a mission to shatter boundaries, obsess over outcomes and forge the future. A huge part of fulfilling that vision is fostering an inclusive culture that empowers diverse voices and perspectives.
That’s why we are proud to partner with Salesforce and Women In Technology (WIT) to host the Empowering Women in Technology Panel Event: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures on July 10th at Salesforce Tower in Atlanta at 11 A.M E.T.
This collaborative event underscores our shared commitment to breaking barriers, shaping the present and future of technology, and giving back to our communities.
The insightful panel will feature:
Windy Nicholson | VP, Technology and Product M&A Integration | Salesforce
Amy Olthouse | Director, GSI Alliances | Salesforce
Ryan Radding: SVP, Financial Services | Salesforce
Heather Rocker | President & CEO | Women In Technology (WIT)
Megan Glasow | Managing Director, Global Salesforce Practice | Perficient
Why Should I Attend?
This event will cover key topics, including strategies for advancing to the next stage of your career, maintaining well-being while working remotely, and the importance of mentorship. We invite you to participate in this open forum and share your own experiences and insights on these crucial subjects.
Whether you identify as a woman in tech or an ally, this collaborative event welcomes you to be part of the conversation. Your unique viewpoints and lessons learned can contribute to an enriching dialogue. Together, we can identify ways to empower each other’s journeys.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders Through Community Impact
Cultivating the next generation of women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through partnerships like this is crucial for building a more diverse, equitable, and innovative tech community. Additionally, the event will support WIT’s Girls Job Shadow Week, providing high school girls with a first-hand glimpse into STEAM careers.
This initiative provides high school girls with an inside look at the exciting possibilities of technology careers. For one week each summer, the girls are paired with other leading tech organizations like State Farm, Equifax, Secureworks, and The Weather Company to shadow professionals.
By experiencing the day-to-day realities at these companies firsthand, the students gain valuable insight into what it takes to succeed in STEAM fields. WIT volunteers mentor the girls, sharing their own educational paths and career journeys. This immersive exposure aims to inspire the participants to pursue their STEAM passions confidently.
At Perficient, we believe it’s vital to educate and create employment opportunities that can inspire young women to pursue their passions. WIT’s Girls Job Shadow Week initiative perfectly aligns with our mission “to shatter boundaries†and make meaningful differences.
Salesforce is also taking bold steps through initiatives like the Salesforce Accelerator – AI for Impact. This program aims to provide underserved organizations with equitable access to transformative AI technologies and $2 million in funding to supercharge social impact solutions.
Salesforce also takes bold steps to empowerment and inclusion through trailblazing programs like Outforce, an equality group providing over 10,000 LGBTQ+ employees and allies a supportive community to bring their full authentic selves to work.
Like Perficient and Women in Technology, Salesforce understands that cultivating diverse voices, educating communities, and investing in equitable opportunities paves the way for change. Our shared vision empowers diverse groups in tech.
Keeping the Momentum Going: Our Commitment to Fostering Inclusive Innovation
We’re proud to collaborate on this empowering event, but our work is not done. Perficient remains dedicated to being a force for positive change – educating, investing in our communities, and building a company culture that reflects the diversity of the world around us.
